We made it! We're in Kokkola!

We had a really long day of travel (almost 28 hours from departing in Saskatoon to our arrival in Kokkola. But we made it!
We are staying at oldest hotel in Finland (Hotelli Serahuone). Kokkola was founded in 1620 by King Gustave and the hotel were are staying may have been built 3 years later. It's been renovated a bit though and it's very nice.
We visited the Central Ostrobothnia University of Applied Sciences today and we were taken through Finnish history, politics, and education system by Peter Finnel and Lasse Jannson. University is free here (and in all of Scandinavia) for everyone including foreigners so it is very competitive to get into the degrees done in English. We also had a tour of the University of Applied Science.
We are learning how to work out the details of life in Finland- the elevators (and how to get out of them), the key holes, the ledges at every doorway that we all trip over.
We've met several Rotarians now and they have all been very welcoming. Tomorrow is our first presentation at a Rotary meeting.
The food has all been great so far. Very fresh and healthy!
Great first day!
